HOFBH Partner Spotlight: New Method Wellness

Published by: HOFH

New Method Wellness, a Founding Member of Hall of Fame Health (HOFH), is a licensed and accredited residential addiction treatment center with on-site drug and alcohol detox facilities, specializing in treating substance abuse addiction and underlying mental health issues. Located in San Juan Capistrano, California, the recovery center is a family-owned and led business that puts authentic, individualized attention, families, resources, confidentiality, and compassion at the heart of each of its programs.

A leading center for dual diagnosis addiction treatment, New Method Wellness is renowned nationally for its individualized high-quality care. With over 20 different methods of addiction treatment, every client is not only given a personalized plan, but they are also paired with two therapists. Working with professional athletes from a variety of sports, the center also matches HOFH’s core value of being a compassionate resource to individuals in their most vulnerable moments.

“First and foremost, we don’t ever want anyone to call here and feel ashamed or embarrassed that they aren’t good enough to get help or don’t have the financial resources needed to seek assistance. Our team’s compassion begins from the moment the phone gets answered no matter if you’re a pro athlete or an average person,” says Brook McKenzie, Clinical Outreach Director for New Method Wellness. “We want to meet people where they are because feelings are never wrong, and every experience is valid regardless of the circumstances or challenges in front of them.”

This compassion is coupled with a family approach. Once someone is in the New Method Wellness program, from day one, the owners reach out to them and begin to get to know them. The center prides itself on going the extra mile to ensure that clients feel safe, relevant, supported, and important.

In addition, from the onset, the center gets the client’s family involved. While many programs include a family therapy component, New Method Wellness goes a step further with weekly support groups just for the family that takes place virtually and the only topic that’s off-limits is client discussions. The goal is global healing by allowing everyone’s voice to be heard because recovery encompasses each individual’s sober community.

New Method Wellness is also known for its strict confidentiality policies. With many high-profile individuals and high-impact professionals turning to the center for recovery, privacy and confidentiality reign supreme. In fact, there is a “no electronics” policy for all clients, staff, and owners once inside the facility or during group outings.

“Because we do so much trauma work, safety, confidentiality, and adequate resources are a top priority,” adds McKenzie. “Trauma is really hard, so it’s imperative that the individuals we’re serving can trust that each member on our team really wants to help and that they are in a secure environment.”

As a part of its ongoing efforts, New Method Wellness hopes to reach as many people as possible to help remove the stigmas around addiction and mental health. With an incredible reach that has national acclaim, the center is a perfect fit in joining the HOFH’s mission.

“You can’t fake authenticity, and that’s something that we align with HOFH on,” continues McKenzie. “We are overjoyed to join together in a collaborative mission.”

“New Method Wellness has consistently demonstrated the highest quality clinical care we are looking for in our Centers of Excellence,” says Ryan Cain, Executive Vice President of HOFH. “HOFH is thrilled to have them as part of our network of providers, and we are looking forward to serving our patients together.”

HOFH vetted a premier network of accredited service providers across the nation prior to making its partner selections. These providers, including New Method Wellness, are trained to deal with a range of critical issues facing athletes including unhealed trauma and substance abuse addiction.
